Artwork
- 3D: I stumbled into 3D graphics when Chad and I were working on the Cthulhu Invictus monograph and needed artwork. I started with Bryce 5, but quickly added Carrara 3, Poser 5, and Amapi 7D to my toolbox. Currently, I use Carrara 7 Pro and Hexagon 2.5.
- 2D: I've been drawing Celtic knotwork for several years now, mostly as a way to relax. It's easy to get lost in the lines and forget the stresses of the world around you. Recently, I took a drawing class — my first since high school — to push myself to do more 2D artwork.
- Photography: Sometimes I try to tell a story with a picture. Sometimes I want to capture a moment for a story I'll write later. And sometimes I'm looking for reference shots or textures to use in a 3D image.
