So, I’ve been working on this blog post for three hours now, typing and deleting, typing and deleting, and typing and deleting some more.
But, you know what? I think this really is a case where a picture is worth a thousand words:
……………………
The three pens in the foreground are Chad’s finds (going from front to back):
- a Rotring Newton
- a Platinum Plaisir
- a Stypen
The rest are mine (going left to right):
- a Levenger’s Raven Black ink bottle
- a black leather two-pen case from Franklin-Christoph
- a Platinum Preppy (actually came with the Noodler’s HOD that I got the day before, not pictured)
- a Noodler’s ebonite pen
- a Noodler’s flex pen
- a tortoiseshell Pelikan M400 (?) (Okay, I asked, and then promptly forgot what Lisa said)
- a black Pelikan M205 (with two nibs, an M and an F)
- a grey Esterbrook Trans J
- a grey Estie Double J Icicle
- a blue Estie mechanical pencil that I rescued from someone’s “bargain bin”
Over the coming weeks as I use the pens, I’ll try to post reviews, along with better pictures. And maybe tell you a bit about why I chose each of these pens and what happened when I bought them. Like how three pens really can be two pairs. 😉
