One of the things I say all the time about painting minis is, “Never constrain yourself to the sculpt.”
Just because whoever made the mini expected it to be painted as one thing doesn’t mean you can’t use your imagination to take it a completely different direction.
Chad and I take this philosophy to heart as we turn cute Creatology kid’s craft kit houses into creepy Halloween haunted houses.
The only question is, who’s turned out better?
